Schedule + Intention for Week of 3-12

Whether you look at Sunday as the weekend or the start of a new week, it's an opportunity to set the tone for the week ahead! This week in my class, I will be offering the intention of mindfulness. I always invite students to set their own intention, but if nothing else comes to mind then I bring the opportunity to become more mindful. In my class we will be practicing mindfulness with our thoughts though positive affirmations, staying present in the moment and being mindful in our bodies by focusing on the quality of your movement. Moving with intention is important because it allows you to focus on having good form, being in alignment and getting the most out of your workout! We can look at obstacles as opportunities for growth. We can change our mindset to positive rather than negative. The goal is to be more intentional with our thoughts by getting rid of any negative thoughts, staying focused on the movements and how your body is feeling during class without letting your mind wander to what's going on after class, what you're cooking for dinner, ect. While you are practicing being more mindful with your body, you  can then focus on having the correct form and will therefore be able to get the most of your time in class!  I will be teaching my regular schedule at Downtown LA and subbing for classes at USC while the students are on Spring Break. There's 8 chances to flow together this week - hope to see you on your mats and in your yoga gear! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. Namaste 🙏💜
