Intention of Playfulness

This week, the intention in class is playfulness! Be light hearted, have fun and don't take anything too seriously. Let yourself be playful and in class, try something new! We will be playing around with bodyweight exercises. The focus is on moving our bodies and getting the mind and body connection. I will be offering modifications to level up intensity on core exercises this week, as the core muscle group is what we will be focusing most on in class.

Today I had the honor of taking a fellow teacher's yoga sculpt class after subbing the 6am class Downtown. It was fun to be a student and get some more creative ideas for class. I learned more about deepening hip opener stretches, how to level up movements in core by adding combo exercises such as chest flies with the rainbow twist movement, my students are familiar with this and I can't wait to introduce the new addition on to the workout. You can also straighten your legs during yogi bicycle sit ups to level up. I also liked how this class married yoga with sculpt, as the intention of Yoga Sculpt is to build strength for your yoga class so you can be better with arm balances, crow pose, and get up into handstand. I will be integrating more of the intentional, spiritual elements with yoga by using eagle sit ups, switching up the buckets in class and adding more bodyweight exercises in our flow.

I will be teaching every night this week until Friday! Lots of chances to come to Yoga Sculpt and meet me on your mat. See you in your yoga gear! If you can't make it, I will be offering privates to deepen the connection, focus on alignment and work on specific goals. My rates are reasonable, send me a message to learn more about in person or virtual privates.
